For those of you who don't know, Sophie Coolidge was born on July 3rd, 2008 in the first cycle year to parents Stella Telmes and Senel Coolidge, from Tales of Legendia. She's the first of two Luceti-born children (both of them who are half-human, actually) and the only one who is still in the enclosure. Her father's lineface is so extreme that it has become an inheritable trait -- she is a bit of a quiet child who prefers to discover things by doing/touching them herself, and she's expected to one day grow into a fairly serious person who doesn't smile very often. However, her somewhat subdued expressions of emotions are not indicating that she lacks them. Her expected future self has been described as being still friendly and kind, traits that have already begun to express themselves. She just expresses them differently. ...It is also important to note that she has also inherited her father's iron eres -- basically, magical powers that increase her strength whenever her fingernails glow. While there's a limit to how strong this can make a toddler, they've already begun to express themselves and has resulted at least once in stunning her mother when tossing a beanbag. So some caution should be used in dealing with this.

Unfortunately, her survival ability has exceeded that of her parents. Her father disappeared in spring of 2010; her mother disappeared for a few months in the latter half of the year before disappearing for good in the fall of 2011.

As such, it's fallen to Fenimore and the residents of House 34 to raise her -- largely the former, as she's the only one with particular experience in this. However, it would probably be hard for Fenimore to spend the rest of her time in Luceti with the action threads involving a three year old semi-NPC. So, I am here to ask for help in the form of IC babysitters (or playmates, if there is any interest).

Babysitters, as may be obvious, would be characters to look after Sophie whenever Fenimore was out and/or needed a break since she's really not ready to be what is basically a single mom. The playmate option is one I am leaving open that may or may not have any interest. Basically, if a character is not good enough with kids to be trusted to look after Sophie on their own, but, for whatever reason, the player would like them to have some (mainly handwaved) CR with a small child NPC for whatever reason (like giving them an outlet for their sappy child-loving feelings, giving them something to point to when it comes to "see? they are not so stoic," a couples' activity, etc.), then one can sign them up to come over to House 34 to play with Sophie while Fenimore does housework or such in the background. This is a position that Grune has been filling, since she is good with kids...under supervision. It wouldn't be bad for Sophie to have some way of expanding her social circle as the only three-year-old in Luceti.

Now, while I say IC, I generally would assume this would be handwaved (unless someone really wanted to have it played out? but I don't know how well that would work out). But it would be nice for me to have a list of characters so that, if an action opportunity came up, I could be like "oh, yeah, there's enough people that I'm sure one of them was free to be looking after Sophie so I can assume she's being looked after." And for you..........well, some people might like the idea of having their character helping out a little kid. I dunno. This is probably more a favour to me. So, uh, thank you!

So, iffin you don't mind, I would appreciate it if those volunteering for the babysitting were to fill out the following questions!

<b>Character name(s):</b> ...Welp. (s) is for if it's being done as a couple or some kind of group. <b>Would the character be willing to be one of Sophie's babysitters? Or playmates?</b> Self-evident if you've read the above. If not: babysitters are people to look after Sophie while Fenimore is doing an action tag, playmates are people who play with Sophie <b>Do you want to be contacted OOCly about babysitting?</b> Generally, I would just assume that <i>someone</i> is free to be looking after Sophie. However, if you would rather know how often your character is doing this, then I can contact you before specific threads to see if your character is free to be the one doing so at that time. <b>Do you want to <i>not</i> be contacted OOCly about babysitting?</b> This isn't just the opposite of the above. During large events, when most characters would be at one spot (like the tree at last year's Valentine's event, or the upcoming ball), I might check to see if someone <i>is</i> available during that time. If you don't want to be bothered by me PMing around to check that, express that here! <b>Do you want to have your character babysitting more regularly?</b> I am a slow RPer. These action threads will be pretty far between, so, outside of her Sunday lessons with the Kyoshi Warriors, times when I will actually need a babysitter will be a bit far between. However, if, for whatever reason, you want your character to have more regular contact with Sophie, let me know and we can assume that this is a more common thing and less of an occasional favour. <b>Anything else?</b> Well?
